The owners of this classic Sonoma cottage had recently added a studio in the backyard to serve as a home office. They wanted to redesign the backyard between their house and the new studio to increase their outdoor living space as well as provide edible plantings.
The Land Collaborative added an expansive deck with a firepit to take the chill off cold evenings spent outdoors. New plantings around the perimeter of the yard provide a sense of privacy. Raised vegetable beds in planter boxes and herbs tucked between stone paving provide fresh greens throughout the year. Natural stonework throughout completes the “charming Sonoma cottage look.”
